The French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEs) and the French Business Confederation will organise the 8 th Forum ASEAN in Hanoi (Vietnam) on 22 and 23 November 2007, together with Ubifrance, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (France) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (France).

Asean (the Association of South-East Asian Nations) is a geographical, economic and political community of more than 550 million consumers which is becoming more and more integrated and open to foreign trade and investments and, as such, is gaining the capability to compete at the same level as India and China.

The Forum Asean is designed as a privileged occasion for major investors, business people, policy leaders and commentators to share their views and experience on South East Asian markets. It will also be an opportunity to build contacts and network.

The objective of the Forum is also to offer to French companies, that are not already established or who wish to develop their activities in the Asean, a unique opportunity to better understand this region and to invest successfully.

This Forum will gather around 200 French business executives together with high profile personalities, experts and officials from France, Europe and Asia. This event will be structured around plenary sessions focusing on recent developments in Asean and workshops on concrete issues such as investment opportunities, market entry, distribution networks and all the necessary considerations for a successful investment.

During this Forum Ubifrance and the economic services of the French embassy will organize business meetings between French and Vietnamese players.
